FOOD LITERACY
A person’s relationship with food is a central theme in the Torah and Jewish spirituality. Food is both necessary for our survival and an opportunity for palatable pleasure and spiritual enjoyment. However, that is a difficult balance to achieve. Many of us overeat, or eat (and snack) without mindfulness and appreciation. The result can become anything but a blessing.
It is therefore part of JSL’s mission to enable individuals to change their relationship with food (and lose weight in the process).
