The Art of Amazement Haggada, developed over 15 years, is based on a few simple principles:

1. The main purpose of the Pesach Seder is to tell the story
2. Good storytelling is engaging, vivid, detailed.
3. The other parts of the Seder are to enhance the Story section (“Maggid”)

Note that the Leader’s edition contains many special suggestions and directions. The Maggid (“Story”) section of the Leader’s edition also contains a vast amount of narrative not found in the general edition (nor in any other haggada).

Note also that The Art of Amazement Haggada works quite well even when everyone else at the table has a different haggada. Since it follows the traditional haggada format, the Leader may easily use this edition while the other participants are reading from any other haggada. If you choose to do so, we recommend adding cross-reference page numbers in the boxes provided. That way the Leader can easily remind the participants what page they should be on in their own haggadas.
